If the Canadian and American dollar are so close, why do we pay twice as much for magazine subscriptions in CA

Canadian always seem to pay twice as much for magazines then the Americans no matter where the dollar value is sitting. Why!!

that's beacuse of mailing and shiping an handling. Even if you go into the store and buy it Canada costes more.

If the magazine comes from the US, I would say the mailing costs and maybe some kind of tariff

I send mail to Canada, and postage is about twice as high as mailing things within the USA.
