i want to be emo but dont know how i can be

1. Dye your hair black and grow it longer.
2. Buy skinny jeans and stripey clothes (and studded belts)
3. Start to listen to bands like MCR and Fall out boy
4. Express yourself through writing depressing songs/ poetry.
5. Answer every question by I don't care.
And you are now an emo. You can go cause mayhem in society.

Quick guide to becoming an emo:
1) Let go of any sense of individuality.
2) Believe that your problems are much deeper and more scarring than anyone else's on the planet.
3) Read poetry and believe that it makes you deep.
4) Lower your gaze, or better yet, let hair cover your eyes, to let people know there is deep pain behind the stare.
5) Look at everyone else with disdain as they will never achieve the emotional complexity of yourself.
CONGRATS - you are now an emo!(or a self-obsessed little dweeb with a real IQ of a tadpole with delusions of being a swan.)

first you must have a perfect suburbian life, then you must start writting poems, then you must buy an emo starter kit, which includes: razor blades, jar (for tears), skin tight black jeans, a tight mcr shirt, a nightmare before christmas hoodie converse shoes, eyeliner, nightmare before christmas gloves to match the hoodie, and a guitar that you dont have the talent to play

All the ''planets'' have to revolve around you and if they don't .......well ,one is devoid of ''emo'' whatever that is.

Be rich, hijack your local music scene, get your hair done at a high scale salon (ask for the emo...theyll know what you mean)....shop at hot topic.

Ehh... maybe listen to Fall Out Boy? Or My Chemical Romace even? Refer to them as "FOB" and "My Kem" and scorn at others who don't. Drerss in black, making great use of stripes and sharp studs...an eyebrow piercing or two might help as well...! And adopt "So what?" as your catchphrase!
