No. If you made it to the center of the Earth, the acceleration due to gravity would be negligible. This is because the entire mass of the Earth would pull you equally in all directions; for all intents and purposes, that means that you wouldn't feel a net gravitational pull. If the mass of the Earth were uniformly distributed, the gravitational force of the Earth would be strongest at the planet's surface. Since some parts of the Earth are denser than others, the acceleration due to gravity is strongest is just below the surface and at the poles.

There is not a "gravitational field". Gravity acts between two bodies, according to how massive they are. At the Earth's exact centre, you would be weightless because the planet's mass is equally distributed around you in all directions.

The acceleration due to gravity decreases both above and below the earth"s surface(however at the surface itself,it is maximum at poles).So,by some means ,if you are able to reach the centre of the earth alive(which is impossible), you need not worry about gravity.It will not harm you as its value will be zero there. But you have to face the consequences of weightless conditions.

As of current. We have accepted the conclusion that the gravity accelerates as a body tends towards the center of the earth. But bear in mind. you WILL not be crushed as planets do not exert a strong gravitational pull as compared to a blackhole, neutron star of phrases of a dying star. Escape velocity can be referred to the gravitational influence on a body. So therefore, you won't be destroyed if you happen to be in the middle of the core and of course, you wouldn't want to find yourself in the middle of a 3000°C burning core. =]

At the center the gravity force is zero. So gravity wont kill you but the pressure due to the overlying layers above will flatten you to a pancake.

You wouldn't be destroyed (well, except from the white hot iron magma, but we've already discounted that). In fact, you would seem mostly weightless, if you were dead center. Gravity still exists, but it would be pulling in all directions, canceling itself out, creating a "weightless" appearance.

As you approach the center the pull of gravity would become less until at the center it would be zero.
30 thousand [5 miles]feet of air above the surface gives you a pressure of about 14.5 lbs per square inch imagine the pressure there would be with another 4,000 miles of air above you.
