I can't even comprehend why it would be important for me to "feel" better than another person. I know that people make these petty, illogical judgments in order to raise their low self esteem, & for many other reasons as well. A psychologically unhealthy attitude. A very good example has been represented here. In essence, & partially quoted, "If I respect them...we're on the same level..If I...disagree..then yes I AM BETTER THAN THEM." (My caps.) Can a rational mind really believe: "I am BETTER than anyone who DISAGREES with me!" Amusing, if this didn't cause so much tragedy in the world.

I can do some things better than other people I know. Other people can do a lot of things better than I can. But I'm not better than anyone else in the sense of being a more valuable human being.

No, I am not better. But at the same time it took ages for me to learn I am no worse either. It's more important for me to feel connected.

No... my simple goal in life is to attempt to answer anyquestion posed to me in good faith and feel confident in my input. Whatever I say, good or bad, right or wrong will stay with that person and help shape the person he or she will be. My only wish is that the input that I have only makes the person better in some way.

well it depends on the person I'm with. If I respect that person than we are on the same level. If it is someone who I completely disagree with morally then yes I am better than them. Obviously no one admits it because it is not nice to admit to something like that but I think majority of people feel this way.

no if you think you are better than people then you are conceded which is not a good thing to be. just be happy with who you are and don't compare yourself to others.
