Driving a stick does not make you a better driver. That I can promise you. Only experience in all driving conditions does it make you a good driver. But no matter what you drive or how good you think you are, there is always a bad driver out there who can ruin your day easily. Just about any car that offers a manual trans is ok in my book. Be it a small car or sports car. A larger luxury sedan is better off w/ an auto. However, there are some small/medium sized cars available with paddle shifters on the wheel that some people like. It's a hit or miss with those things. It's going to come down to what you like. I know what I want, but our opinions will differ. G'luck!
