Several of the reasons were expressed by the Congress in the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998. I've provided a link to it below.

in the process the Iraq-Iran conflict (1980-1988), Iraq used poison gas on Iranian troops. Poison gas is considered a weapon of mass destruction which worldwide places had suggested in no thank you to apply in try against lower back after international conflict II. This raised alarms in many neighboring worldwide places and interior the U.N. to boot. In 1990-1991, Iraq had tried to take over a united states called Kuwait and tried to take its oil components. The U.N. desperate to bypass in with many countries backing the attack, this insurgence grew to alter into widely used simply by fact the Persian Gulf conflict. anyhow, Iraq lost. The U.N. then placed financial sanctions on Iraq. The U.N. then desperate to take the sanctions off on condition that Iraq might enable U.N. inspectors into the country to confirm if that they had the different weapons of mass destruction and nuclear weapons (simply by fact the U.N. became afraid that they had by some skill underhandedly made them). Iraq agreed, and U.N. inspectors went into the country. Years later, the U.S. approached the U.N. protection council a pair of danger that Iraq did not enable the inspectors see each thing there became to confirm in Iraq. The U.S. provided sketchy photographic info that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction of their united states and demanded the U.N. to lead an attack to stay away from any variety of attack on a united states with the weapons. The U.N. did not deem the info a respected piece of info and denied the U.S.'s call for for an attack on Iraq. the U. S., regardless of this result, led an attack into Iraq besides, looking no nuclear weapons interior the country......

During dinner at the white house, Gdubbya asked for a quiet meal, with no politics, war, or world events to be mentioned that may, in some way, encourage him to begin to consider this, dangerous prospect. Laura said "Pass the Salt" , Gdubbya slammed down his cutlery, said "that's enough" and the rest, my friends, is history

Little things like "Saddam" saying that he has WMD's and that he would use them against the U.S., then the U.S. spent 6 month's explaining to the "USELESS" U.N. of "Why we have to invade Iraq", while the Iranian's trucked every WMD into "Syria", you can move a lot in 6 months ! Everybody claims that we are doing it for the oil, yet NOBODY can explain "HOW", Iran only produces 13% of the area's oil, how does that work into our stealing it for profit ? would'nt that be just a "TAD" easy to trace ????? It's just more "B.S", "sour grapes" & "Tears" from the "Dem's" because, they lost their power in the white house, and lost their "BIG GOV.", and the inability to tell the nation what to do, sorry that there are NO BIG GOV. programs to hand out the tax payer's money to the illegal's !
