Certainly not something I'd risk. It seems that the risk might not KILL or INJURE you??? But you could end up looking like a bank Robber who just discovered a "DYE" pack? Auto paint, is also sold in liquid form. Why do you use powder? You state "Of Course"??? I've used spray equipment most of my life and never used powdered pigments. You still have to mix it with the proper "vehicle".

Are these SPRAY cans, normal auto touch up type paints/colors? Why not...If you have some specialty color in mind...have it mixed, or matched at least, in a lacquer base or enamel base?

You have to thoroughly CLEAN any spray equipment EVERY time, no matter what you pump through it.

Yes, thinner will clean the gun. You might work in a body shop, but as a janitor. A painter would know it would take 200 cans to paint a car. Also a painter would test a little bit to see if thinner removed it.

I own the paint crew by wagner, for spraying walls and ceilings. I have stuco ceilings and this is a 2 gallon airless sprayer. I wouldn"t trade it for anything. It is at local HD and Lowes. Average cost $ 169 to $ 189

First of all... I ask... WHY do you want to take the paint from SPRAY cans if you have the pigment powder for the sprayer? sound's dumb to me... why waist all your energy and money on that?

Secondly... from your question, I wonder how you got hired in where you work if you can't answer your own question... did you just start there and are still learning or what?

Thirdly... anyone who supposedly works with paints knows that paint thinner or mineral spirits will work to disolve it.

Sounds suspicious to me.....
