Hey,
I'm a student at UCSD. I went to Calcopy to purchase my book for my Phil 163 class yesterday and the owner of the store switched my $20 bill, and gave it back to me claiming that it was a fake. The money that I used to pay with, I had just taken from the ATM, and the $20 that he gave me, claiming was mine, was old, and folded up, and wrinkled. It clearly wasn't mine, but when I insisted that it wasn't, he kicked me out of the store. I kept arguining with him, and he eventually gave me $40 back, and the $20 fake, which still leaves me down $15, and I have no book. He is a crook, and you should never deal with him if at all possible. If you have to, then use a debit card. I am going to tell my teacher, Mr. Doppelt about this, tell everyone that you know too. I also called that Turko guy.
Thanks.

If anyone has an idea of what I can do, let me know. I called the police, they told me that it was not a police matter, and referred me to the Secret Service, who were closed at 4:30. This is also the only place that it is possible to purchase the book, and I have an essay due on wednesday.

This guy is the owner of the store. And the reason why the book is available at Calcopy is because it is out of print. It is impossible to get the book anywhere else. Also, I didn't add this in the first part, but the total cost of the books was $55. So when he gave me the $40 it still leaves me $15 short.
thanks for answering.
