I get picked on at school for getting 3.8s and because I am Brazilian and Italian. I have a black hair, tan skin, and green eyes. (All natural)
Is there something wrong with me? The girls all pick on me, and I get teased all the time. (I'm 14 years old)
I have low confidence from all this, so my mom decided to enter me in a beauty pageant to show how "Stunning" I am. I ended up winning the pageant. But, I don't know.
I'll never think of myself as beautiful.
Is there something wrong with me?

Yeah you're like a million other 14 year olds. You're having an identity crisis in which you WILL out grow. It's a phase and there is nothing wrong or abnormal about you. Also there is nothing anyone can say to convince you of that until you're ready. Never say Never.

im sure there are nice girls at the school so make friends with those kinda girls and avoid the ones that pick on u

The only thing wrong with you is that you believe what the other girls said about you. Black hair, tan skin and green eyes? You DO sound like a stunner. I know how hard it is to deal with that kind of scorn, and hearing "Oh, they're just jealous" over and over again, but in this case, it sounds like it's true.
Buck up, kiddo. The only thing that'll happen to you is you'll grow into your beauty and eventually come to terms with it, and you have your whole life ahead of you to do it in.

it is called ENVY. That is the reason why the other girls pick on you. Get over it and be more confident than ever. The same thing happened to me in school and I all my friends were boys...wonder why? So, be proud of your beauty and yourself but never forget to be modest and humble. Remember one day we will get old thus make sure you feed your spirit more than your face or your body and you will be fine, trust me..Now get out there and show some confidence and smile!

hello christina...i understand what you're going through,i am a filipina and i get picked on sometimes too. all the girls n my country want alabaster skin but they dont see the real beauty in me.
you are still young and you have a lot to go through, look at your self in the mirror and be thankful of what you have. be amazed and worship what you have and just work it. knock those people out! ignore those skanky girls they just dont have what it takes to be REALLY beautiful! if you got it flaunt it...and by the way,you dont need to enter a beauty pageant,coz if they're talking trash about you then you know you're beautiful!!! ciao bella!

They are obviously jealous of you. You should be proud of yourself for winning a pageant and you should go on to do more pageants in the future. I think you should get a boyfriend so they get jealous of that too.

the girls at school are jealous.
There will always be females that are
going to act jealous and mean, so don't
let that bring your confidence down.

You're not Brazilian. You're only Brazilian if you were born in Brazil. Brazilian is not a race. No one can be Brazilian and Italian and the same time; or you're Brazilian (if you were born in Brazil), or you're Italian (if you were born in Italy).

They are picking on you, because you are a very nice looking girl. Be natural and stay away from the teasers. Try to make some good friends at school and I assure you, later you will laugh at all the once who are picking at you now............

Just don't dwell on the negative stuff. It's not right that you're being harassed, but try to not let it get to you too much. There's nothing wrong with you, but those people are trying to make you feel as if there is.
