I have this guy friend who hugs me in the weirdest way. He hugs me from the side, but not side-to-side. He wraps his arms around me so my shoulder is against his chest and his hands meet around my other arm. I feel so awkward, when he does that, because there's really no way I can hug him back, with my arms pinned to my sides, so I just have to stand there. Has anyone ever hugged you this way?

He just wants to avoid the feelings he might get when he hugged you the way you wanted.One of these times he will give you a bigger hug and a better one.

It doesn't mean anything, I hug girls like that sometimes usually when they're mad at me and have no intention of hugging me back. Anyways you should try being the hugger and not the hugee. If he still hugs you like that after you introduce him to normal hugs maybe he just has a side fetish... just kidding.

I don't think so but ur gettin some huggin at least so that's a start.We know he's good at interesting positions.Don't feel obligated to do crap because he has u in like an arm lock- that will come in handy later too. OK I better go to sleep b4 I get even worse.

next time, hug him like that before he can, or just talk about hugging you in a different way. i dont think it is wierd cuz that just means that he thinks you are good enough friends to give hugs (which you might or might not be, i'm not to judge).

Yes! He just like to hug you tight. I don't think he means anything by it. He is just being silly. Next time you see him, walk up to him and YOU hug him!!

yes , but that's only when they atack me from the side when i don't notice.
Maybe he wants to be more than friends, or maybe it's just a habbit. Who knows??

yah...my ex used to do that...but only when we were in public. I think its some kinda casual " we're friends" kinda hug...ya kno..not to intimate.
