Look I'm not a racist but I don't think that blacks should be allowed to use it either.
They no damned well that if they become friends with whitey he's gonna hear it so much it's bound to come bouncing out without a thought to the hate that's going to be thrown back at him.

I think some like to catch their friends out and enjoy ragging him about it but I don't think blacks know how bad whitey can feel about it.
I mean one minute they are all friends and then one little word and they make whitey feel like he should just go and hang a rope around his own neck.
You know what I mean if you've ever been there.

The arrogance of some people never cease to amaze me. People know what is right and what is wrong, but often they choose what is wrong. We all heard from the time that we were toddlers that if someone else jumped off the bridge, would you do it. Yet, people as 40 year old adults, throw a tantrum because they cannot do things that other people do without consequence. I do not like the N word, and I refrain from using it. But that is me. I also affectionately call my mom, my looney mommy. Does that give everyone else in the world the right to call her looney mommy. Of course not. You see, I love her and the rest of the world does not. I understand her and she knows my heart.

I cannot understand why many people think that they can do whatever they want to do in this world and there is no consequence. Nobody is stopping anyone from saying what they want. But if I walked up to a person of a different race and called them a racial slur, then if I got my tail whooped, then I should expect it. I exercised my freedom of speech, and they excercised the freedom to whoop my butt.

THis juvenile mentality of saying if I am not suppose to say it, then you cannot either. That is bogus. There is such thing as common sense. Why on earth would someone crave to use a word that could be harmful to themselves and others. I have heard gay people call each other the f word and the d word. But I would not open my mouth to say it. Because I am not part of that group and I cannot pretend to relate or understand that group. So why on earth would I go and offend them because they said it? I am not 2 years old. I know that would be inappropiate. In addition, not every person of a particular race say those slurs. So if someone thinks that they can call everyone of that race that word, because they heard two or three people say it, then they are misquided to say the least.

With all of this said, I think some people simply would attempt to find any excuse to use a slur.

ok, First of all: BUNNIES, I completely DISAGREE with you. Now: I will let you know my personal point of view based on MY experiences in MY life. I do not feel the need ever to use the N word. I do not think it is "politcally correct" for anyone, black, white, asian, or arab to use the word. Do I care if a black person wants to call another black person a N? For the most part, hell no. My problem with the N word comes from the influence today's rap scene has on my little brothers. Now before you get your panties in a bunch, hear me out. My little brothers LOVE rap. Again, they love rap. They have LOVED rap probably for the last 2 years. They have many cds with many different artist. In my family, we never sat down and had a talk about the N word. It wasn't something we needed to talk about. However, we had to one day, when my little brother got sent home from school for addressing one of his WHITE friends with the N word. (Which he LEARNED from the RAP he listened to-again don't go on the defense-I am not putting RAP down, simply stating the facts of the situation) Now how do you handle a situation like that? Do you tell the 10 year old that the N word is only for Black people to say to each other- promoting even more ignorence in the world? Or do you teach the boy that it is a negative word used by bad people during a bad time for which black americans suffered and it shouldn't be said by anyone? You tell me.

First of all, I don't agree with calling anyone out of their name whether it's their own race or whatever, but I think that the point was made that whatever the name, the trouble comes when people outside the race use it to address the people in the race. Also, Rap music was brought up. If people are offended by the N word, why in the world do they listen to it or let their children listen to it. I know, i know you're going to say it is there and they hear it anyway. Well, I'd better not hear my son use the N word in reference to anybody. Just because you hear it doesn't mean you have to say it. He doesn't hear it enough for it to come 'bouncing out of his mouth'. My husband, who is white, is very good about listening to whatever my son thinks he might want to purchase. What's really funny is seeing a 40 plus year old white man listening to Rap. But I think that my son doesn't feel so 'trapped' by us because my husband does at least listen to the music first. Btw, as you know rap isn't the only music with questionable lyrics.

My opinion is that whites already use the word liberally among themselves. What they want to know is why cant they walk up to any brotha they see and call him a ni99a. Its the same reason you can't walk up to a group of Italian or Puerto Ricans and start calling them guineas and spi@ks. Its because your not part of that group and your seen as an outsider. So don't do it!
Never will get over the fascination that this country has with race. It detracts so much from our nation.

i won't be in a position to communicate for black human beings yet i might guess that they do it because of fact they choose to...and not all choose to yet for some it fits into their language and swagger. My version of this may well be as quickly as I call my acquaintances skanks, ho's, etc. They understand I advise it in an endearing way. possibly its the way I say it or because of fact they understand i like them. yet its our ingredient that as quickly as heard via an outsider ought to be taken as offensive. base line do no longer say n**ga, on account that I take it you're no longer black. the comparable way my females might kick ur *** in case you referred to as them a skank. Its humorous tho white human beings continually ask this question.

Because whites have an attitude that "we can do or say anything we like and the world should be ok with it" which is a sick way to look at things. They want to say it to be evil and negative towards a Black person; that is the only reason why whites are up in arms about "boo hoo, why can't we say it"? Not all whites want to say it but it seems the vast majority feel they should have privilege to say this negative word because they were the ones who initially brought this hatemongering, demon word to the surface to negatively depict Black people and humiliate them.

It just gulls them that they cannot say it now because Black people have turned it into like a positive; a term of endearment towards one another.

The only reason a white wants to say it is to belittle a Black person and it's so ridiculously sick that whites are beyotchin' about why they can't say it. I mean they need to get over it as there are millions, if not billions of more words for them to say in the English vocabulary that do not humiliate or degrade Black people. They'll think of another hateful word though because that's just their mean-spirited nature.

I wish they would just shut the hell up about it because it's just something they won't get to say, so shut up and get on with life. There are bigger more important things to life than arguing about "why I cannot say the N word to a Black person, or in depiction of them".

The most important thing is getting oneself ready for Armageddon, not fretting over not being able to say the N word, stupid idiots. Any white person who fusses over this stupidity, this outrageousness is evil and is doomed. I certainly don't want to be bothered with that sort of scum. Why don't they think of hateful slurs to call themselves? There! That'll give'em something to do, eh?

Geesus, get over it. I like the points you brought out in your question, but this never needs to come up again. It's been asked and answered so many times on this forum, and in life. Negative results come to those who are hell-bent on using negative slurs. Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you! Get over it!
