well if ur mom wears tampons the next time u go to buy pads with her why not just say hey mom can i try to use a tampon. since i dance everyday and i have to wear the leotard can i try them. the only thing she can say is no right? and if u still think u want to wear them and since u want to just try them to see if u like them better than pads just buy a trial pack of them they sell them just about everywhere from dollar tree to walmart for $1.

I would go up to your mom (in private) and tell her, "Mom, I feel really uncomfortable in dance class when wearing a tight leotard with a pad. Could I please try out some tampons for dance class?" Be mature about the situation and don't whine if she says no. It will show your mom that you're mature enough to try a tampon.

If you don't feel comfortable confronting her about it. Then next time you're at the drugstore go to the tampon aisle and grab a box of "Playtex SlimFits". These are the smallest tampons for beginners and young teens. Put them in the basket, and if you're mom sees them and asks you about it then just say they're for dance class while wearing a tight leotard. Tell her your pad shows through and that it embarasses you.

If she is still saying no, then go to your sister for help. Good luck!

The best way to ask your mom is just the way you asked in this question. (Short and simple, honest and to the point!) Tell your mom that it is really embarrassing dancing with a pad and leotards....I get a visual in my mind that would make me want to help my daughters. Good luck! Tampons are worth it...we should have the privilege of doing what we'd like to do and not being embarrassed by our monthly period.

be as open & honest as you have been in asking the question here. Perhaps begin by saying mum, I'm a little embarrassed about this but I'm sure you'll understand that it's very uncomfortable and embarrassing to use a pad when I wear a leotard for dancing....etc

You dont really have to tell your mom this kind of stuff if you know she's going to say no. If she buys your stuff for you, just tell her to give you the money so you can purchase your own feminine hygiene products...she will take it as you being indepedent, then go buy your tampons urself..

I personally find that some older women, like my mother are totally against tampons and you just cant reason with them.

tell your mom that you're having problems dancing because of your pad. she might suggest a tampon but if she doesn't and she asks if you know of anything say what about a tampon? if she says no ask one of your friends to buy you some and that you would pay her back, hope I helped, I am on my second period too =D

Tel lher exactly what you just put here. She will understand. A lot of women wear tampons because they are much more discreet than pads. She won't be at all surprised. I would guess she still buys you pads because she thinks that's what you are comfortable with.

I would go to your sister first.
Having 3 little sisters, they have
all come to me with their needs
and it's a lot more comfortable
at first than going straight to your
mom. It's really not that hard to
use, and coming from someone
who danced for 14 years..haha it
is DEFINITELY more comfortable
to wear tampons while dancing
than having to change your pad
and worrying about it showing and
moving around.

once you get comfortable with it
and talk to your sister, you may
feel better about talking to your mom.

If I were you talk your mom first. She will explain about tampson that you want try a tampson. And your sister tell you too. That only way to talk your mom first before you can do anything with tampson. It's not hurt you.

Talk to her. Tell her why you want to wear them (I'd mention the dancing not the fact that you mom wears them). Maybe you could even tell her that you'll just wear them for dancing.
