okay so last week i was in the hospital because i was having contractions, and i ended up 1cm dilated, 50% effaced. they stopped my contractions...3 days later i went home.

last night i started getting really bad menstrual like cramps and a tinnnnnny bit of spotting today. then tonight i started getting contractions every 5-7 mins apart, for at least 4 hours now.

so my question is.........because we a hour away from the hospital and its almost midnight, if i go to the hospital are they just going to stop my contractions again or do you think i'll be more dilated now? my baby is still breech, so if im more dilated will they do a emergency c-section?

okay first call your doctor. They will probably have you go into the hospital. With your contrations being that far apart that is probably the best place to be at this point. call your md and they will give you advice on what to do. :-)

You need to go to the hospital or at least call your doctor. My best friend had her contractions stopped 3 separate times before they finally said it was safe for him to come and then he wasn't born for another 3 weeks! Anyways I think you should go to the hospital. If you go now they might be able to stop the contractions again and you wouldn't have to worry about an emergency c-section. If you decide to wait then they might not be able to stop them by the time you get there and you would end up having your baby way too early. Well good luck whatever you decide to do and God Bless.

You should go now. I started having contractions at 32 weeks, i went to the hospital 2 nights in a row because they would stop them. At this point, they might consider it safe to have your baby, if not then they will stop the contractions again, which would be good if its not safe. Since the baby is still breeched, the chances of him/her turning before your due date is slim, so you'll probably have a c-section either way

Hi, the contractions sound close that you will need to go to the hospital. Because you are so far away from the hospital i would leave now.

They will not necessarily do a c-section cause baby is breach. They will ask you if they can try moving baby around by hand or by forceps. It will be up too you.

If they have no luck or if baby gets distressed then they will then do a c-section.

I had a c-section, its nothing to worry about.

All the best, hope baby stays in a little longer!

I have had 3 children and honey it sounds like you ar eready! my first was 2 weeks late my second was 1 day before my due date, and my third was 3 weeks early. There is no harm in getting checked out. My sis in law kept telling the dr that she felt farther along then she was and they insisted that she wasn't. well when she was supposedly 34 weeks they stopped her labor 4 times in 1 week and when her water broke that same week the baby was born 25 min later. She barely made it in the door to L and D. The baby was 7 lbs 9 oz and full term! Don't take chances, go to the hospital! especially if the baby is breach! be careful hunnie and good luck

You only 5 weeks to go, so better safe than sorry. Have you been checked to see if you are dialating? Also you can have contractions for a long time before having the baby. I did this and my OB put me on a monitor 3 times a week with my second child.

Why take a chance? Call your doctor and explain your symptoms to them. If your baby is breech and your in labor they will probably have to do a c-section if they can't stop labor. Go in and get checked out, especially if your spotting. There is no reason to take a chance of something happening to you or to your baby. Congratulations and goodluck

If they said to come get checked out, by all means go down there right away (I hope you've already left).

They will need to check and see if you're dialating anymore and they will probably put you on a monitor to determine the frequency and degree of your contractions. Eight to Twelve contractions per hour is pre-term labor. Go go go...

You need to to to the hospital bc if you r in labor and your baby is still breech that is not good. They may stop your labor or they could go on and let you have the baby but they my try and turn him/her.

you should go to the hospital even if they send you home because if something does happen you be in the right place and it is not to early to have your baby so go already
