LSU plays middle tennesse, ole miss, mississippi state, tulane,la tech and duck tennesse and georgia this year.these are five cupcakes meaning they would only need to go 1-6 in the other games to be bowl eligable.so with a weak schedule like this why would lsu fans have the nerve to talk about usc or other schedules as being soft.

by some of the responses you may not know i am a usc fan , this post was in response to alot of lsu and sec posts recently abot usc playing in aweak pac-10 schedule.i believe a pac-10 schedule(where you play the ENTIRE conference and a solid non-conference schedule is at least as strong as a tough conference schedule as a sec schedule where you do not play some of your toughest rivals.

you said the scools i listed would have a winning record in the pac-10 were mississippi state, ole miss, la tech, tulane, middle tennessee is just plain wrong. in addition south carolina and alabama would have no shot at a winning record in the pac-10.if you believe so then you have a overestimated ability of spurrior and saban to win with the inhertied talent of those two schools.

I have two favorite teams... Ole Miss and whoever is playing LSU... I HATE LSU! And Ole Miss is not really a cupcake team if they could just learn to finish after coming within 6 points of beating 4 nationally ranked teams, 3 of which were top 10 teams, being Auburn, Georgia, and LSU. Ole Miss went into overtime with LSU after leading the game 20-7 in the beginning of the 4th and blocking the game winning extra point with seconds on the clock. By the way, I'm not a fan of USC either but I'd love to see them woop LSU.

Their non-conference schedule, outside of Virginia Tech, is a joke, but no worse than anyone else in the SEC (hell, just look at Arkansas). They have no choice in conference, as they're required to play everyone in their division, as well as permanent rival Florida, and two rotating teams from the East, who happen to be Kentucky and South Carolina this year.
And for those complaining about USC and their schedule, realize that USC hasn't played a non-Division IA opponent since sometime in the 1950's. Most, if not all SEC schools, can't say that they haven't played a non-IA school since 2005. And as for SEC schools scheduling a home-and-home with Nebraska, the last one to do that was South Carolina in 1986 and 1987 (and they weren't even a SEC school then). You really have to go back to 1981 and 1982, when Auburn played Nebraska in a home-and-home.

I am with Scott on this one!
I am so tired of USC saying how LSU has it soo easy. Has USC looked at their own schedule recently? I mean yall have "cupcake" schedules every year! & considering Notre Dame one of your top schools and than trying to say LSU isnt any good. I was at the Sugar Bowl last year when LSU kick Notre Dames @$$E$, I saw every play of that game and let me tell you if Notre Dame is one of your "top schools" than you should just give up. LSU played bad in most of that game and still managed to beat Notre Dame 41-14. All USC is, is a bunch of cry babies. We heard it when LSU WON THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP and poor USC wasnt even invited. O must be a computer glitch. Yall have been over ranked for years.

As i been saying the whole SEC conference play Cream Puff schedule, their excuse we already play a tough in-conference play. So they say we can afford to play Cream Puff out of conference play. LSU especially talk about USC weak schedule, but LSU schedule Midd. Tenn, Ole Miss, Miss St., Tulane, AND La Tech are so soft, more like a pillow soft. Why they don't even bother to play somebody in the top 25 or some BCS conference team. If you want to claim your a power program, schedule like one to get the respect your demanding. USC don't play any cupcake out of conference, they just play top notches out of conference team, Notre Dame and Nebraska.

Last time I checked when LSU played a cream puff like Notre Dame it wasn't a pretty out come. I also believe LSU plays 2 top ten schools this year in Florida and Virginia Tech. Can you tell me how many USC plays. OK LSU does play Middle Tenn and LA Tech but lets take a minute and look at Ohio State's schedule this year. Lets not forget AURBURN, ARKANSAS, SOUTH CAROLINA, AND ALABAMA. O yeah lets not forget a 3rd top ten team in the SEC championship. So to all of you cream puff F***ers name a team that will play 3 top ten teams in one season. Don't forget we did it last year too Florida, Arkansas, Auburn and Notre Dame were all in the top ten last year when we played them. O yeah we played cream puff Tennesseee too.
