Hey GOOD question. I was expecting "Why don't cons...." LOL.
To answer your question, because most politicians and the people that support them are hypocrites. Rather than say "Yes the President I supported let me down by" or complain about the Dems new Congress, party loyalists EXCUSE their own party's errors, by finding fault with the other guys.
Kinda like We may be bad, but those people are worse.
Pretty Sad!!

I try my hardest not to, that is why I even though I do consider myself a proud Democrat, many of my beliefs do are not endorsed by most in my party, although it does seem most republicans tend to close their eyes to the facts, I am not being hateful, just in my experience they happen to be the more delusional and ignorant of the two parties. Statistics do confirm that as well, although people never listen to stats when it goes against their beliefs.

Loyalty always causes blindness. Sorry but a bias makes it so. What ever you believe is easy and if you find an error well, that is just to hard to take. No body wants to be accountable for a screw up and they just go blind. You can believe this that after that deaf and dumb will follow.

a good majority must be interest groups who have gained materially from all the actions and policies of the party. they trick themselves into agreeing with all the decisions made. or they must be ignorant people with a selective hearing aid and a blinder on. or retarded

I agree, this is common with both Repubs and Dems. It's like it's a big game and they'll do anything or let anything slip by so that their team wins.

They buy into the us v. them propaganda. They believe that their side is far superior, and cannot admit that the opposition just might have better ideas on certain issues.

People who are Republican or Democrat first, and Americans second, should all be rounded up and tried for treason.
