A lot of pop and rock songs incorporate violins in them but but these songs feature that instrument prominently:

White Bird by It's A Beautiful Day.
Hurricane by Bob Dylan
Eleanor Rigby by The Beatles
Come On Eileen by Dexys Midnight Runners
Baba O'Reilly by The Who

Yellowcard has a violinist, but the only album that he's really prevalent in is "Ocean Avenue," so I would check that out.
The Verve "Bittersweet Symphony"
The Fray...pretty much their whole album, but especially "Look After You"
Daniel Powter "Bad Day"
Skillet "Yours To Hold" and "Comatose" (although the whole "Comatose" album is AWESOME!!)
Dropline "Fly Away From Here" and Creed "One Last Breath" have cellos in them, I think.
Josh Groban "Believe"
Metallica did an album called "S&M" that featured them with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra
Queensryche "Silent Lucidity"
Rascal Flatts "Skin" (is a must listen anyway cause it's so beautiful) "What Hurts The Most"
Red Jumpsuit Apparatus "Your Guardian Angel" also has cello, I think
And I think the Corrs version of "When The Stars Go Blue" has a violin

I also love songs with violin in them...:)

Bright Eyes- Four Winds.

They use a real band in their music. The violin is played though out the song.

Yellowcard has got some electric violin action. Try Ocean Avenue. Really good song. Plus the violin has a sick solo. Enjoy!

everything by October Project. Also, if you delve into some of the symphonic metal music coming out of Europe, violins (and all strings) are a HUGE part of the music: After Forever, Within Temptation, Nightwish. OH, I just remembered, Electric Light Orchestra "Its a Livin Thing" and "Birmingham Blues" (not sure if you remember them, I'm in my 40's so I grew up with ELO)
