It does get frustrating some times, like when Lefty takes a commanding lead and the headlines read, "Woods 10 shots behind leaders," but he's brought a whole new crowd to golf in the last five or ten years. He sells papers, and people love the guy. He's a great golfer and a class act.
I would, however, like to read more about John Daly just because he says crazy stuff and is a general maniac.

We keep hearing about Tiger Woods because he is the best at what he does, period. His race/ethnic background has nothing to do with it. I didn't hear you complaining when an equally great player (Jack Nicklaus) was the world's number one.
We hear about other golfers, white, black, and every other combo, all the time, dude. Get off your racist high horse and accept the fact that, currently, the #1 golfer happens not to look Caucasian, just as I accept the fact that the world's richest man is not black or Asian or whatever.

I hate reliable Friday & Christmas Day as i've got faith misplaced without my paper!

They write about the one that sells the most & Tiger sells. He is number one. Why would you want to read about an old has been that finished next to last in a tournament? Evidently no one is as good as TIger...............now he has a beautiful wife & new baby to show off. Millionaire & great family too. WHO doesn't want to hear about him? And he is adorable to look at too. He is better than the ole beer belly "white" guys out there.

Yes, they should talk about the golfers who use to be the best. Palmer, Snead, Nicklaus, Hogan, and on and on. They give plenty of press time to Michelson, but he is hurt right now and there is no one out there who can match Woods, you racist piece of crap.

I would imagine they cover him because he is a skilled golfer, and is popular with younger golfers.
