I've always heard that, "its the moon's fault for people acting weird or crazy..." No matter if its driving or working with customers, they say it's the moon's fault... Why?

the moon had a magnetic pull on the earth, the moon controls the tides in the ocean...and if it can effect water and we are a certain percent water, and we have water surrounding our brains....reports from mental hospitals, police, and hospitals....more weird things happen during a full moon ,so yes it true

People through the ages have seen that nature reacts to the
phases of the moon. There are more animals hunting, more
action happening, when it is lighter outside. And of course
the bodies of water swell with higher tides when the moon is
full.
That is the source of the word lunatic: affected by the moon.
And, for whatever reason, if you work as a cop or in an
emergency room, you are very much extra busy when the
moon is full.
I feel the phases of the moon acutely; but I am Cancerian,
so the water-sign in me reacts to it.

The term "lunatic" means "crazy form the moon" indicating a direct cause/effect relationship between the phases of the moon and some people's reaction to them.
I know of no scientific evidence proving a relationship but statistically there is enough of a relationship that some police forces assign extra duty during the period of the full moon.

I am not certain about the "why" but I know that it is true. I am a nursing supervisor in a nursing home and some of the elderly patients with dementia or Alzheimer's have a process of their disease called "Sundown Syndrome". They are totally nice and in control during the daylight hours but the closer it gets to night time the worse they seem to be. So, the nighttime does play a part in the attitude and behavior of some people. Whether it is the moon or not I don't know but I do know that something changes in them.

Lunar has to do with the moon. So they refer to people that act crazy as luniticks. Sorry so the misspelling. Believe me some people do act different when theres a full moon. Try working nights at a nursing home when theres a full moon...hahaha..its crazy!

Its supposed to have something to the moon affecting the tides, and since we are about 98% water, I guess its supposed to affect our systems too.
