YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY I am soooo happy for you! And you made it for the hip hop category which just makes it that much greater!

Being on a team feels great. Like you truly belong to something! Like you were born to do this...

And competing in front of other people makes you feel like a Goddess...everyone staring at you. Everyone adoring you and some little people wishing that they want to grow up to be just like you! Not to mention all the cute guys staring ;-)

I miss Dance sooo much though, you have no idea. I was in it all through highschool and I then amazingly made my college dance team and was in that for a year before I had to quit everything. My life turned upside down and I haven't performed since...

Still though, every Thursday I go to the club and I unwind. You can lose yourself in the dancefloor, to the music... to the beat. It can change your life.

Anyways, sorry for my ranting! And congratulations again! =)

It feels awesome. I have danced and twirled for ten years competivley. It takes alot of work and practice. Competitions are wonderful if you are prepared, its so much nicer after you have performed if you know that you did well. A team of girls are going to fight but you need to know that your team will never progress if you cant get along. Over all, being on a dance team is the best. I miss my years on the team, you dont ever want to look back and think I wished I would have done more routines or more camps so do them all while you can.

Congrats on making the team. It feels great to be with a group of people that you know can perform well. I've never done a dance team, but have done competitive marching band in high school (back in the 90s for me!). I LOVED the thrill of performing and competiting...nothing beats the rush of having a stadium full of people cheering your group on as you perform a number...or afterwards when you know you did well (even if you don't win).

However, what I loved most was being with my classmates...they were my second "family" or so to speak. Our loyalty to each other went WAY beyond any mark--good or bad--that we recieved at competitions.

All and all, enjoy being on the team. Continue to work hard, but also have fun with the group as well. Congrats!

Well I can really relate to this i also just made it on to a competition team for tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, lyrical, and modern. I really like it. Sometimes I get really nervous but, once I get on stage it all melts away. It is so fun. Competing and just performing to me are completely different when I am competing there is way more pressure but i really love all the people on my team I have been dancing with them for 6 or 7 years now and have created a major bond with all of them. We also go to dance conventions and stay in hotels we just went to one in Miami! So fun! Well I wish you luck I know that you will love it!
see ya
