Are you under stress? Do you run? If you answer either of those with a "yes," that's your answer. Otherwise, as long as you have no pain and you don't feel sick, don't worry. 14 is still young, and your hormones are going crazy! You sound like a real smart girl. Stay that way! Your period will work it's way back to regular by the time you're 16. Don't stress about it or anything else!! (Easy for me to say, right?!! lol) :)

You should go see your gyno... you may have PCOS. It is the most common reason for irregular periods and can be very managable when found early. Even though you are young and are not sexually active, you should still see a gyno about this. You may have to be put on birth control to regulate your horomones, but don't be frightened. Many women have had this problem and it's nothing to be ashamed of.
Another thing that could cause an irregular period is being extremely active or being overweight. Either way see your doctor about this issue.

I would get this checked out. Have some blood tests to see if your hormone levels are normal.Ii can tell you this becuase i have problems with my periods and through hormonal testing was able to find out why. I'm not saying you definitely have a problem but just make sure okay?

When you first get your period it does take a little while for it to get regulated.
Mine never actually regulated on it's own. I ended up taking birth control pills just for that matter.
Probably yours will smooth out just fine.
Have patience. It's just your body getting in sync!
