your secrets show who the real you is- either they are something that is too bad for people to know, or too good...either way they kind of define who you are. and give you a sense of security and identity.

To me secrets are "trapped" thoughts. Heavy thoughts that cannot be lightened by sharing . Thoughts that keep disturbing us all the time , making us feel sad. . Thoughts that make us look for companions to unload.
That is why , many like me, share these secret thoughts with total strangers ... like co passengers in a train or plane.

To be honest-nothing, I would better keep my friends secrets ,but I lost a lot of respect for a lot of people to keep my secrets from them.

Secrets are what separate the public you from the private you. There what the difference is in what you allow people to see and what is really there. There meaningful and in some ways define you. Just no one knows it.

Who has secrets?? Secrets are things that hold you back and hold you down. They take your life hostage under the threat of blackmail.
No, it's much easier to live life as an open book. No one can harm you, if you have nothing to hide.

The closest I can come to my secrets, aren't secrets really at all--they are just quite personal parts of me that involve no one but myself, would have no purpose in sharing, & mostly--couldn't even be intellectualized. They aren't nasty little hidden demons, nor am I possessive of them--they're just not "on display."
