When people say tender breasts, they mean that your breasts are tender not by touch. When touching them, it should make them feel more tender. What is causing your breast tenderness? Even if it pregnancy related or postpartum, your breast are tender even when you don't touch them.

Depends on so many things you would be surprised. Her bra, her hormone levels, the amount of swelling she has and even more variables.

Some tenderness is mild and some is severe. Ask her and she will let you know rather than experience undue pain.
