until their hair line starts to receded?
Most of the hair loss suffered from black women has to do with styling the hair instead of hereditary or illness, like other races. Why do they wear these styles until the point of baldness.

White women wear weaves to enhance/thicken their natural hair.....where as black women change their texture all together with weaves and other methods....I understand if you want to switch it up for styling purposes, but if something is ripping out your hair why continue to use it....This is an Honest question. Not trying to be racist

I'm actually a black women.....and some people fail to read my question. My question wasnt why do black women wear weaves? My question was why do black women wear weaves to the point of baldness?...Thats is a certain type to category of black women? Not all black women wear weaves or wear them to the point of bladness, so I obviously wasnt talking about those black women.

I actually don't have any problems with my hair. if you know how to mess with it you'll be fine. I don't like weaves, I can't wear braids, no females in my family can, at least on my mother's side. My point is is that they are probably too lazy to deal with their hair in its natural state.

Not all black women wear weaves.. I am not wearing a weave right now but I might be in the mood to change up my look this is the reason I do it. Just like you said you white women do for thickness etc. There is nothing wrong with wearing a weave. I know tons of white women who wear weaves actually I put in a few weaves for some white girls. These women also have problem with they real hair that won't grow because of all the damage that is being done to it. When white people asks questions like this it pisses me off because it seems like your trying to make it seem like white women are so perfect and things like hair damage does not happen to you guys. Please analyze your people before pointing the finger at us black women.

Because most black women are too lazy to take care of their real hair. They rather go bald so they can keep wearing it so they can have a real "excuse" to wear it when they go bald. They wear the same weaves for months and don't take care of their real hair. All the sweat and bacteria builds up underneath because you can't wash the hair. Even if white women and other cultures wear weave, you never see other cultures going bald because of weave. You can guarantee you will see black women with huge bangs or destroyed hairlines because of too much weave use.

A lot of black women wear weaves because they don't want to care for their natural hair, or don't know how to care for their natural hair. Also, society has brainwashed a lot of women to believe that they aren't good enough they way they are naturally. I wear my hair natural, and am not offended what so ever by what other women do to their hair. But it seems like a lot of non naturals have something rude/ignorant to say about my hair. Also wanted to say, i see a few natural women wearing weaves as a form of "protective styling." They say it protects their real hair from the cold or heat, or something.

The same reason Paris Hilton (when she is not in jail) and other white women wear weaves...they are there.
I have beautiful silky curls and do not use weaves, chemicals or heat....none on the women I know use weaves...and I know a great many black women.
Why do you ask?

Truth every black woman will tell you a diff reason, would would sayto maintaintheir big thecurly coily type 4band c hair ethnic hairstyle naturally.,-afro hair others would say to change up, some blacks have naturally straight hair,or get their afro relaxed, the waves and wigs are a traditional thing, honestly. Jews started out with weaves, believe it or not. Weaves are hair extensions, mainly the latinos and esp the african americans wear em ,but anyone can.

Yes, much of the breakage is due to the trauma they put their hair through during the styling process. Although most black women's hair can be quite brittle & dry in the first place. To try to place moisture in it would be extremely difficult & more complex than what is being done in the chemical processing. It is just simpler to wear a weave & have the gorgeous hair they desire w/out all the hassle.

black hair is the most difficult type of hair to deal with so i dont think that you, a white person, should comment on what black women do with their hair unless you've actually had to DEAL with it...and no i don't wear a weave
