Three resistances having identical resistance r connected in parallel.The cell & the ammeter have negligiable resistance.With the switch open,the ammeter reads 0.6 A.What will be the ammeter reading when the switch is closed?

That would depend on where the switch is in the circuit.

With the switch open there is no circuit.

I would think it would be 0 because you just turned it off.

Can't answer that without a cct. diagram. If you don't realise that then you will flunk.
