If you have a desktop, just purchase a new keyboard. They are cheap enough and you only need to decide if you want your keyboard to have a PS2 connector or USB connector.

If you have a laptop, it is not so straightforward to replace the keyboard. But not impossible. Purchase an external keyboard until you can replace the keyboard. Look online for a Service Manual for your specific laptop.

I just had to replace the keyboard on my Presario 2100. (Fiancee spilled water on it.) I had to take two screws out of the back of the laptop to get a face plate off. I then had to remove four screws to take the old keyboard off. I then put the new keyboard on, screwed it back in, replaced the faceplate, screwed that on, and I was up and running. I only paid $35 for the new keyboard on my laptop.

You can get a new key board at just about any place. the cost is minimal board run from $9.00 bucks at Walmart and high end can cost $ 50.00 at a computer store. Just unplug it install the new board and start your computer.

try replugging to keyboard input from the back of your computer if that doesnt work then either get a new key board or get professional help
