I know this is a long shot.. but I'm trying to figure out the name of this movie.
I am not sure of the age of this movie but I use to watch it when I was younger. I would say approximately 10-15 years ago.
This young girl had an imaginary friend, but he went away. Then when she was older and about to (or just recently) got married he came back. She had to take pills to stop seeing him.
I think I remember something with a jack in the box too.
Any ideas?

I think the imaginary friend wears green but not 100% with that one.

I think you are describing, "Drop Dead Fred". Winona Rider was in it and the imaginary friend was I think Martin Short.

im not sure, but have u ever seen the movie Milo? creepy!!! sounds kinda like what ur talkin bout. it looks so fake when ur watchin it, but beware of watching it at night! SPOOKY!!!
