The directions for securing a wireless router vary depending on which router you have but they all require the same steps:

1. Set an encryption key (I recommend WPA-PSK)
2. Tell your key to your computers
3. Suf

To set the encryption key you usually visit

first, find out how to get to your network setup, if u have linksys wireless then go to your browser and type 192.168.1.1 leave the username blank and type the password as admin, once you are in change your password and he wont be able to get onto your network anymore. then get the MacAfee firewall... its really easy to setup and use and from what ive seen, its one of the most secure, no one should be able to break in after you get it
