Me and my sister just finished watching a movie and nothing good was on so we watched Wrestling. We laughed at most of everything. They beat up the manager and stuff, and obviously, in real life, that wouldn't happen.

We were wondering that if it IS fake, who are these "Pro Wrestlers"? Where do they come from? Whats the point of Pro Wrestling if its all fake? Any other things that might be quite interesting may be answered too.

Your Question: Who are these pro wrestlers?

My Answer: I'm not sure how to answer this other than to say they're people. They have families, they have problems, they have flaws. They have good and bad qualities. They're people.

Your Question: Where do they come from?

My Answer: You see, when a man and a woman love each other . . . Seriously, they get training from different wrestling schools around the country. Most wrestlers never make it into the WWE; they spend time in minor promotions that never gets on air. By all reports, it's a hard life. They spend the vast majority of their time on the road, in the air, or in hotels. They rarely get to see their families.

Your Question: What's the point if it's all fake?

My Answer: It's entertainment. That movie you and your sister just watched? Whatever it was, it was fake as well. You probably know that, but yet, you might have enjoyed it. It's the same with professional wrestling.

Your Question: Is pro wrestling fake?

My Answer: Yes and no. The outcomes are predetermined, the stories are written, the gimmicks ("characters") are rarely, if ever, true representations of the actual person. Certain parts of the wrestling matches are planned in advance, and the referee has a lot more impact than most people realize. However, the blood is all real. Granted, the wrestlers cut themselves, but that's really their blood. Their bodies take wear and tear from the very real beating they put themselves through. Unfortunately, a lot of the wrestlers are on painkillers to simply cope with the pain, and this can lead to addiction. Steroid, alcohol, and drug abuse is another frequent problem that's very real. Most wrestlers also get divorced at least once. Like I've said, it's a very hard life, and that's why I get a little annoyed when people dismiss it as fake.

I hope I've answered your questions.

It's fake, although many of the moves still hurt. The point of pro wrestling is that it's entertainment, pure and simple. It's just like any other scripted TV show or movie, except pro wrestling has an athletic flair, and that's part of the appeal. It mixes the athleticism of sports with the entertainment of television shows, and that's why so many love wrestling.

Yes it is fake.

BUT... Make no mistake. The wrestlers (actors) are in very good shape as you can tell. There is nothing fake about their muscles or athletic abilities.

No, in real life they go to work and earn money to support their families the way we all do. But professional wrestlers do get hurt very often just like other professional atheletes. i.e. Football players, baseball players...

(Smile) What is the point of professional wrestling? To keep youngsters (both young and old) entertained.

Because Pro Wrestling is a fixed sport. It is settled in advance who is going to win. All they are doing is putting on a show, the real wrestling you will find at the local levels, where it is a little more challenging. Sorry.

the matches are scripted, and the outcomes predetermined. the characters are as unreal as sasquatch.
about the only thing that's real about pro-wrestling is that somebody can sustain real injuries while doing it.

all of the manuevers require a lot of practice and excellent timing.

The point of it all is entertainment. Isn't that why people watch TV anyway? as an escape, a diversion?

Say what you want about wrestling (and believe you me, I have had my share of bad things to say about wrestling, and in particular wrestling fans) but, it is still pretty entertaining.

You mean like WWE Smack down or Raw ?

Including them, all pro wrestling is fake. They plan out before they come out on TV. They plan who is going to win, practice all moves before they actually do it, and stuff like that to make it realistic. Everybody in there is "acting" lol. But its entertaining and I watch them sometimes.

They are more likely "actors" than wrestlers, in my opinion. lol

I hope I helped!!!!!!

no, "Pro Wrestling" is not fake because "Pro Wrestling" is a NES game that was sent out in 1985.

From what I can tell, some of it may be real as in the contact, but I believe that the winners are predetermined and the superstars let up when they are set to lose, then I believe there are storylines, such as creating feuds and etc.

Yes, every bit of it is fake! Also everything is scripted. They don't really hit each other.
