I always recommend using the ethernet over usb -- usually that error message means your cable is bad or you haven't assigned (or your router hasn't assigned) your PC an IP address. Specify it manually and try it.

usually, that is a prob regarding hardware.. its either, your not cable is not good, your pc doesnt connect well to the internet or its possible also if you have router, the router doesnt have ip add or the router doesnt give you an ip address.. another thing is your ISP(internet sevice provider) is having a prob..

you can try this troubleshooting step to get an ip address...

start --- run ---- type "cmd" on the textbox (a black window will appear) --- type "ipconfig /all"(there's a space bet g and /) --- wait for the results.. ---- then type again "ipconfig /release" w8 for results again it will display 0.0.0.0 ip add.. ---- then type "ipconfig /renew" wait for result and it will refress your ip add.. to get a new connection.. this works usually... and this is a fix for "server not found" prob also.. ---last restart you pc...

if this did not work, try to update your network driver which is on your drivers cd or online..

also you may restart all hardware.. check cables if properly plug in and restart modem.. router if you have one and pc...

this works better.. i did this a lot of times and it work...

hope this works :)
