I just need some help with this. I want to write a book called, "Junkie Mom", and it would be non-fiction. It is about my life as a teenager (i am currently 19 and a sophomore in college) and my struggle with an alcoholic and drug addicted mother in suburbia. I just dont know how to outline/organize my ideas. I feel like everything is scrambled together and i am trying to blurt out everything at once. I was thinking of doing it as diary, but i cant remember when everything happened. I could use some help.

Get several folders. When you feel inspired write about ONE particular day or ONE story and put it in the folder. Label the folders as you put stories in them. You can put stories together that go with the title of the folder... don't sit down and try to start from page one and write the book. You will find it easier to write the book in small sections and put it together when you have plenty of material to work with.

a diary is an excellent idea,,,or you could write it as a novel, and to get you started use an outline. do an online search on how to do that.
