anybody go today? first day below 95 degrees, that place was packed! the line for the griffon was about an hour-which is about what we expected-but the lines for EVERYTHING were crazy long! we finally had to leave, we're not going back till howl-o-scream! it was the most people i've ever seen there...did anyone else get stuck in the crowds?

We were at the park today right when it opened. We made a bee line straight for Griffon as soon as the bridge opened. When we got in line, we only waited 20 minutes for the front row, then we had walk on rides for Alpengeist, Curse of Darkastle, and Big Bad Wolf. We never made it over to Loch Ness and Apollo's Chariot because we really only wanted to hit Griffon, get some food at Trapper's, and leave.

When we finally got on Griffon, as we were making the turn on the first drop, we could see the cars backed up on the highway. When we left at noon, they had already started parking in the overflow lots. We were lucky to avoid the majority of the crowds by going in early.

The park will only get worse as the season ends. And Howl-O-Scream? You're talking about major crowding there. The park is so crowded you can barely move.

I was there last Sunday, and the park was very crowded. The lines were about the same for Griffon. We spent alot of time at Apollo's Chariot because the line moved quickly. Check out the single rider line for Griffon, much less waiting, and there is still a good chance that you can get the front row. My friend and I used this option, but be aware they do close that line when it gets full. If that happens, they will reopen it once they get those people through. That only happened to me once.
I have been told that the park is pretty much empty in September, on Fridays if I remember correctly. September is a slow month for many parks.

i've got been to King's Dominion such particularly some situations, it is not even exciting anymore. Busch Gardens is a lot greater effective, plus they have greater of a topic to it than King's Dominion, and you'll be able to savor a different form of stuff! Are you from VA?
