Nukes shouldn't be used under any circumstances by anybody. I like Obama, but he needs to get a bit more experience.

Never!! Too many innocents paying for the acts of few.
I believe that President Truman would have never ordered the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki if he had known the repercussions. Not just the repercussions then, but the repercussions throughout history.

There is no reason to ever use these devices. They should only be a deterrent but never actually used. People who would use them are truly insane. To suggest killing hundreds of thousands of people is true insanity. People unfortunately have little respect for life.

Nukes are appropriate sometimes and people just need to grasp that that's the truth and there's nothing they can do about it. Sometimes situations get so out of hand that there needs to be something so extreme done to just halt it and make people reconsider what they're doing and see reason. During WWII when we bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, that was the best thing we could have done. The Japanese were willing to sacrifice their entire population: men, women, elderly, and children, to a pointless cause. They were trained that they had to follow their emperor's every order, and that the most honorable thing they could do would be to die for him. Even though many lives were taken when we dropped that bomb, it saved many lives, it saved a country from itself. The millions that died is still a better alternative than a whole country dying. Instances such as that are when nukes are appropriate, situations slightly milder than that are appropriate too.
