IE7 is slow to load because it has so many features. You could try clearing your cache (temporary internet files)--right-click IE7, click Properties, on the General tab click Delete, click Delete files.

You could switch your default browser to Firefox or the yahoo browser

Dump IE and download firefox 2 for windows web browser, it is faster, more secure, and you can set it up to automatically delete all the cookies, history and your private details, when you log off the internet. read the help files on how to set it up

mine does the same thing ever since there was a yahoo toolbar upgrade, the homepage takes for ever to lead, and I have cable internet!

But, the internet is moving very slowly tonight on my laptop, who knows maybe it's under attack

it could either be you need to empty your cookies or it could be the homepage itself so if you try to empty your cookies and it is faster then that's where your problem was if that doesn't work then it's just the homepage itself
