I just started studying for the GMAT by taking a diagnostic test. Is it just me or are the data sufficiency questions ridiculously hard? I am feeling very discouraged and am starting to think grad school is not for me. I have always been very business savy and usually get above average grades in all my business classes. I really don't think these questions have any baring on what kind of business practitioner I am or will become in the future.

Any advice on how to get better at these things?

Actually, I always thought these were some of the most useful types of questions. Knowing what information you need in order to be able to solve a problem is critical, in business or in any other discipline which is based on decision making.

Essentially, you have to first think through how you would solve the question, then look at what they give you, and recognize what is missing.
