I have a Sony Vaio laptop, and for some reason when I'm scrolling with the touchpad, even in the middle of the webpage, it automatically goes "back" on the internet browser, without me hitting the back button. I've never had this problem with IBM or Dell laptops. It does this constantly and it drives me nuts, and I've heard from other Vaio owners that theirs does the same. Does anyone know why it does this, and whether I can fix it or is it just a glitch in the design?

Check the software that drives the pad, under control panel, it's probasbly got a function that a leftstroke beans "back" in web browser, just diable that extra utility.
