Lol... it annoys me to no end, I tell them the same thing you do, just shut the hell up already, only I don't say please, I cannot stand someone who repeats the same thing over, and over!!

when I was younger I mowed a lady's yard I didnt mind that, but she would run up to my tractor like there was some emergency just to tell me that her old neighbor from 2 years ago used to start his tractor too early in the morning and she would get all pissed off. she told me this story a thousand times and it wasn't some rambling old person story. this lady just wanted to gripe and obsess over this petty BS until finally I decided that she was interrupting me so much tat my job on her yard was taking longer than it was worth so I just stopped coming back. I had better things to do as a young lad than listen to people gripe.

Depends on my mood. I would either walk away or tell them I get it now shut up or say I understand and politely back away.
