Definately Dio. How the hell do those powerful vocals from such a small man?
I'm probably in the minority here but actually liked Ian Gillan and the one album he did Born Again. But didn't care for the Tony Martin stuff.

I have to say the best successor was Ronny James Dio. He may be short but he has one recognizable voice that everyone loves. Plus he invented, or popularized the malocchio, or corna, or devil horns.
Other than that, Ozzy was the only good singer. I hated Ian Gillan and Tony Martin. I especially hated Tony Martin.

Ronnie James Dio, my favorite singer of all time! I like his songwriting style, as well. Ian Gillan is awesome but was out of place in Black Sabbath.

Ronny James Dio of course, the Heaven and Hell album was awesome, I am a big fan of Black Sabbath in fact that was my first concert in 1978..I saw them again with Dio in 1980, it was awesome too..later..Chaz
