I want to wire a light from IKEA which has a blue & a black wire, house wiring has a red a brown +yellow/green

Which wire do I join to which?

a light will work wired either way. The reason you wire them the right way is for safety. I would love to know where you live to have red, brown and yellow green house wiring.
