While I have always enjoyed this paradox on the limitations of an ALL mighty God, I also think that is says much about human knowledge. Epistemologically, we find that one could respond by saying that God can BOTH make the rock AND not make the rock. Though this seems initially absurd, we find that we merely need to ask: What are the cognitive limitations of a human mind in attempting to comprehend an ALL powerful God? In such a question, we find the roots that maybe it is our conceptualization of power and action that is limited and not that of an ALL powerful God. (Having said that, I do not myself believe in such an entity).

You need to understand what exactly it means to say that god is all powerful in order to deal with question. To say god is all powerful is to say he can do whatever it is logically possible to do. For example God can not create another God, God can not make a man a bachelor and married man at the same time, God could not create an universe in which he did not create, and so on.Your situation is not one of logic or reality and thus has little relevance to any all powerful being who may or may not exist.

That really does make sense if you think about it. I mean, you could say that he could just make himself stronger, and therefore lift the rock, but the rock would increase in weight because it would stay true to it's origin "the rock too heavy for god to lift." Then you could say that he could decrease the rock's weight and lift it, but he would decrease in strength because it would stay true to it's origin as "the rock too heavy for god to lift." Any other combination that he tried, the rock would counter that and remain too heavy for him to lift because it would always stay true to it's origin.

The law of causality, like the law of gravity, is absolute and allows no exceptions. Everything in the universe has a cause and an effect. In reality there are no contradictions and reality contains only what is possible. If God existed, He, too, could only do what is possible in reality. But the impossible is a contradiction and in reality neither God nor the impossible can exist.

This is the single dumbest question ever asked. You must be some kind of new breed idiot.
Just so you know God can't do everything, he can't lie, he can't sin in any way.
God can save you from hell, he can save you from your suffering.
God is omnipresent which means he's everywhere.
He knows your question was meant to make fun of Christians and insult him.
I'll say a prayer for you tonight.

if he made such a stone, then it would crush the earth bcoz of it's weight. Remember weight=force. Then the Creator would be able to lift it in space where it is weightless. The problem is you visualize the Crator as if He's part of the Creation.

I don't have to make the rock heavy.
I would just increase the force of gravity until I could no longer lift the rock.
But remember, even the gravity that I used to defeat myself was created by me.
Next question, please.

Since God is the creator of the universe, I am sure He could create anything.
As far as lifting, God is not an "entity", He is pure essence, pure knowledge. His power has no bounds.

Wow! Same question Claud Lee asked me back in the first grade some 50 years ago. I still don't know the answer. You're not related to Claud are you? He was always asking dumb questions, too. I figure he could be your grandfather or something.

If God can do everything, He can create an object that is immovable even to Him. Then whenever He feels like it He can set said object's movable variable to true, and move it. Come on, get with it. God's got the mad cheat codes.
