My period was due today and I'm like clockwork. I still haven't started and I know I ovulated on the 5th. Do you think that it's too early to take a hpt?

It really depends. Some women get a positive result right away, and some don't. It took me being 26 days late before I finally got a positive reading on an hpt. Generally wait until you are at least a week late though before you try. Also remember, you can get a negative result and still be pregnant. Good luck.

No most test say that you can take the test days before your missed period....If you don't show up positive and you still late then wait another week and take another one if by the time your 3 weeks late and haven't started and or haven't gotten a positive I would go to your Dr and see whats going on with you and get a blood test to see what your levels are....Good luck

i got a positive 5 days before my missed period, it doesnt work for everyone like that but it cant hurt to take it in the morning.... good luck to ya!

No, there are some tests that can detect the pregnancy hormone days before your missed period. I think EPT is one & First Response. Good Luck!!!!!!

you could test early, but you won't know for sure until you get blood work later on...sometimes you can get false positives if it's too early, that's what i read from a doctor, you can ask also a doctor online for free to see what they think, try www.FertilityTies.com
