You aren't "afraid of people" - you are most likely afraid that they will find out you stutter and think less of you because of it. Help yourself by getting The Stuttering Foundation's book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer" available in their estore and at many public libraries. Another one of their books that is good is "Advice to those who stutter." Once you come to terms with your stuttering, you will find that you are more social and less nervous.

try some acting classes. might help you to improve your confidence.

here's a little secret, everyone feels uncomfortable when they're stared right at the eyes. they say afterall that the eyes are the windows of the soul. some aren't bothered by it, some can cope with it and some can't stand it.

perhaps you could try staring at someone's eyes for 10minutes to get used to the feeling. someone you trust and comfortable with of course.

All our acquaintances (English and non-English audio gadget) performed a game approximately guessing the grimy words. One person could say a grimy word of their interior of reach language and the different individuals had to objective and wager what that word meant. quite a number of barriers come down. After speaking approximately each and every thing in a remote places language, speaking approximately primary issues will become plenty much less frightening.
