I say it depends. Questions probably teach you more about the person than answers, unless the question was designed to learn about the person, in which case the answer would yield more information. But with your question and my answer, you probably learned more about me than I learned about you, because I tend to give long answers with more in them.

I have learned a lot about people on the site and very little of it good. Must confess to learning more by questions than answers. Probably could learn more by looking at answers but they all seem to run together after a while.

since people in Q&A ask questions for their friends, neighbors, ask from different peoples viewpoints, ask things that are unrelated to themself....you can't even begin to imagine from their question anything about them. As far as answers are concerned lots of people add funny or strange comments so you can't learn about them from that either. But then there are a lot with home structure problems and flower questions and math problems and the list goes on. There are some though who do answer from experience and those professionals I do respect their answers and can tell they are career people.

Answers I think, going only on my Q's & A's. I sometimes ask questions that have nothing to do with me but something I seen or heard that I thought I could make a good question about.

Both, always questions and answers are so similar in the profile of a person.

Questions it lets you know what they think about, answers are only if you can find something to answer and in P&S they are not usually very serious.
