every convenience store you go in has a mag rack that sells old cars the mag sells for about a buck or so it is usually called deals on wheels or similar to this they have awesome deals on partially restoredolder cars try a late 60's early 70'mustang this should do you good and you can usually find one in good rfunning cond. but poor apearance for around a grand remember it is easier and cheaper and more gratifying to fix the body than the engine just make sure it runs good and go from there

good luck

Junkyards do not sell whole cars, thay have already had their titles purged. Junkyards only have 15 year old cars on the average anyway...

Some specialize in old American Iron like

but that yard is pretty well picked over!!!!I was just there!

So, whats wrong with you? why do you need a musclecar? are you afraid of not being cool if you dont go fast?

Why not build the heck out of a scooter, like these guys...

or get your cool on with a microcar!

Decide what you want to restore first.

1966 Chevelle is my choice.
Then, search craigslist.org or your favorite used auto listings.
