We are having a little girl. My husband loves the name Berkley. We have a son named Bryce. Some say Berkley is more of a boy's name, but guess what? (were using it as a girls) He also likes the middle name Sinclair.
So, what is your first impression of a little girl names Berkley Sinclair (Last name M......)

I think Berkley is a name a little girl would be made fun of for. Especially when her middle name is definitly not a good fall back. Sinclair reminds me of a type of allergy medication or a cell phone service. I would advice not naming her that or else name change will be in her future.

I live near Berkeley and we say "bizerkley"
Not a huge fan of Sinclair either so maybe we just have radically different tastes

I like it, though I'm not fond of "matching" sibling names... (Bryce and Berkely). They do "go" together, however....
Anyway, I don't think the name has a particular gender associated with it. And besides, I like boys names for girls.
Also, I think of Elizabeth Berkely, the actress (unfortunately of Showgirls fame), and she's gorgeous!
FYI - the name is not a stripper name, in case anyone wants to say something like that because of what I just said....

I think it sounds like a boy name. If you go with Berkely I would give her a clearly feminine middle name. Maybe Berkely Claire or Berkely Clara ? Since he picked the first name I think you should pick the middle name.
