look around its not just me, everything EVERYTHING is starting to suck,

TV, movies, music, stand up comedy, professional sports (including pro wrestling) basically everything i liked as a kid is total trash now and lets not forget whos been president for the last 7 years.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE PRESENT?! what did we do wrong? surely this cant all be someones fault, i think weve just hit a wall as a society and theres going to be a point, like the stock market, housing market, etc where things just regress to a point where we can rebirth everything, im not looking forward to that either, its going to be painful and frustrating, and i dont think everyone is going to make it, but thats life right?

To put it as simply as possible.

It's all about Trickle-Down Stupidity. When we rather *expect* our leaders--political and otherwise--to *aspire* to the level of Beavis & Butthead...it eventually effects everyone.

And no, this is not just a Bush/Cheney joke. They are a symptom of a broader disease. Consider for a moment where those two came from. Halliburton. Big Oil.

They *come from* the old-school, big-money halls of Corporate America. *That* is your problem. Anyone remember how messed up *Tyco* got? How about MCI? *lol*, I even had trouble remembering *who* those guys were.

Point is....we live in a nation that begrudges giving our poor people *one stinking dime* for every dollar our rich people get, *no questions asked*. In the days after 9-11, most of the *airlines* who were so hard hit over people refusing to use commercial airliners, they got bailed out and got special favors, *no questions asked*. Compare this to the way ordinary people got treated, post-Katrina, after New Orleans was destroyed and *left to ROT* for nearly a week. We treated the Katrina survivors like dirt. We barely did *anything* to help them and there were *tons* of strings attached to what little we *did* get done.

In short....we *demand* that our poorest people work wonders *with nothing* year in and year out, test and inspect and harrass them half to death for every halfassed bit of public aid they get....but....

Our Rich People, our CEOs, they get breaks and handouts, often at *immense* public expense, all the time and nobody asks any questions. CEOs can run corporations into the damned ground, as was the case with Mattel Inc. a few years ago and with Chrysler more recently, and nobody even *says* anything along the lines of "You screwed up, you're fired."

Oh no...can't have that, can we? Instead your average bungling idiot CEO walks away with a *bonus* in the millions in cash and stock options....just for having the good sense to *leave* when told to "stop digging the hole already".

Rich people simply *do not* ever see any direct and immediate consequences for their actions. If they do well they get paid. If they don't do so well, *they still get paid*. If they screw up, *they STILL get paid*. Anyone with a CEO-level income really doesn't see *any* punishment or consequences for their ill behavior, not in the sense that the rest of us do when we get fired or outsourced or arrested....

and don't even get me started on that Paris Hilton meltdown over what, a *45-DAY* jail sentence for repeatedly and flagrantly breaking the law on both Drunk Driving and Driving Without a License, both offenses that would get *us peons* sent to prison no ifs, ands or buts about it.

Do you see what I mean? People don't learn when their actions so utterly lack consequences and direct, immediate relevance. They don't even retain the knowledge and skills they once had--why stay on top of the game if you can't lose?

And.....with this being America, these Rich People are the ones we have a habit of putting in charge of things. *And* these are also the people who are put in charge of hiring middle managers, who emulate *their bosses* to stay at work.

Like I said. It's Trickle-Down Stupidity. And the only way around it is to *force* a regime change, either by having the Rich Old Farts *Die Already*, or at the very least, by having the Media and Political cultures change to a model of holding *all people* or all citizens at least to ONE standard of competence and conduct regardless of wealth....

Like that will happen, but hey....what can you do? -_-

Thanks for your time!

Wait a minute. What is wrong with Pro Wrestling? I agree with you that all the other things you mentioned suck. Wrestling has remained the only true professional sport. I have to go it's time for my medicine. And tonight I get to turn on the lights. Were having green jello later.

We could sense that we incredibly understand ourselves for terribly it slow. Then comes the time we end college and initiate working interior the grownup worldwide and quickly come to understand that, in fact, an entire different set of interconnecting regulations, codes and relationships are impacts subtly giving us meaning and course in this society. So, incredibly understanding Ones Self, happenns between 19 and 25.
