is there one? id say so without any studies, smarter people just tend to be involved or better at music than dummies,

what im wondering is, can learning and practicing music boost your IQ in anyway?

I think there are a lot of factors that could lead you to assume that musicians are more intelligent.
-intense practice sessions boosts concentration, consistency, determination etc.
-breathing exercises (for wind instruments and singers) can regulate blood flow to and from the brain
-playing instruments requires extreme coordination:: once again, concentration is key.
-memorization---BRAIN FOOD
-the longing to always want to better yourself.

Music is all mathematical. So yes working and learning music could be a factor in boosting your I.Q.

IQ is now known to be outdated. The present
mostly accepted one is EQ. Emotional Quotient
includes emotional talents like knowledge of music.
