...the eye can see, eye see you, "I", eye-lid, eye-brow, eye-linger, eye-shadow, eye-ball, etc etc etc...
It seems like the "eye" is getting all the attention...and I don't think that's fair...because I'm more of a "ear" person, being a musician...so if you had to choose between the two to lose the function of...which one would you choose...ear or eye? And why? (and any "ear" cliches would be appreciated...we need to elbow out this "eye" guy...)
(I'm all ears...)

your funny your all ears hahehehe cool your a musician fun...music cultivates the soul :)))
I see what your saying. I agree the eyes can deceive and they do all the time the ear can be extremely powerful in hearing things about others
BUTTTTTTTT............
The truth of another is actually in the ACT of seeing.........
Which I have to say can be difficult to prove unless we actually see the truth like camera shots of say a husband or wife having an affair...or other discretions that are caught with the eyes...
The eyes say much about another if you study them long enough you will see the sorrow or joy in anothers life I can tell by the eyes if that person is truly happy content in life or a lying sack of garbage!!!!
Music is beautiful nice to hear on the ears but it can put you in a trance and bewitch you hahahehe so be careful
I am pretty good judge of character and I have been right about a great many people and sadly enough the ones I admired the most and adored I saw the most pain in their eyes :((

If "the eyes are the window to the soul", the ears are the side doors to the brain. Useful, but not much in the way of curb appeal. Sorry, the eyes can display one's response to what one hears, especially music, but ears themselves show no expression (unless made obviously of tin). Wouldn't want to lose either, but even a music lover is a human being and needs to be able to function, and that is best facilitated by sight.

I see you've been Rena'ed
I studied Magic for a short time, very revealing. In a small 3 volume set, it was demonstrated to me how the "show" was assembled and how every "trick" was performed.
The eyes are indeed easily fooled. But it didn't stop there. I found grand parallels in many fields, including, and most interestingly, Politics.
Yes, the ears are just as foulable.

i am also a musician, I sing so i defanately wouldn't want to loose my hearing, but i am scared of the dark too, so i wouldn't want to loose my sight either, but if it came down to loosing an eyeball or an ear (the thing on the side of my head not the drum) i would choose the ear, that would be a very hard choice the let go of either of those two senses you know

I've thought about this question before and decided that I'd much rather lose my sight than hearing. Books come in braille and having seen you could still see with your "mind's eye". But without sound... "Truly there would be a reason to go mad were it not for music."--Tchaikovsky

I would rather lose the use of my ears. Blindness is a terrifying prospect (which a false diagnosis of an eye disease made me confront several years ago).

If you absolutely must have to lose "one" re-read your question, you made no conditions.
Lose one eye and one ear, but you still have the other set.
Thats why god made them in pairs.
Why didnt you ask about speech? for someone who sings- this is absolutely devastating to the point where they feel that there is no more reason to live.

Eye ear you...
My eyesight is , well, we'll just call it impaired. My 'earing is quite acute. Eyed hate to do without either but eyed have to say eyed keep the 'earing. Eye already depend on it to navigate.

If every sense came together at exactly the same time there would be total focus. Think of the tunes you could pull out your ainer. (think about it)
