The battery is 100% flat and been standing out side for 12 months

It is a 12v battery for a GS125. I am using a 12v 6AMP cheep car charger .

I topped up the water and its bean on charge for 3 hours and its still not full

Is this normal ?

If it’s completely dead then it may not be able to take a charge…might have to go get a new one.

In your kind of situation, I've found that often times a battery will never take a charge when using a charger that's putting a high rate to it. If the battery is salvageable, then a very slow charge, maybe .5 amp tops left on for 24 hours might resurrect it.

A dead 14 amp hour battery Charging At 1/2 an amp slow charge would require 24 hours to fully recharge slow is always better Your battery should never be charged faster the about 2 amps

yes could take up to 6 hours
