yes,i have many times. yes,it can be risky at times. a couple of suggestions for you-
1.look for awkward price listings. lets say,for example-you find a 42 inch plasma screen T.V. look at the price. from th top of my head, these kind of tv's go for about 4000. and they have it for 1000.they say its in mint condition, never touched. in box factory sealed. you buy it,and it arrives a week later. open the box,the screen is cracked, there nicks and scratches all over the thing. they drew you in for the price, made you think it was to good to be true-and you went for it anyways. htey get away witha grand, and your left with a piece of crap T.V. now im not saying its only for this item, but just watch out for these B.S. sellers.
2.quick and simple-check out the power seller percenteage. the lower it is,most likely people dont enjoy the service from them,or there getting falsely advertised product. look for reviews from the customers-thats your best bet that ur buying from a good seller.
so yeah,it can be risky. just be smart about it. do a little research,to with the item you want-id say the price is a big thing, but there are cases where they will lowe rthe price because its a defected unit,or theres just something wrong with it. hope i was of some help.

I have been buying and selling on eBay for 8 years and only had a few problems. It's always a good idea to look at the persons feedback score first thing before you decide to buy, or sell. I have met some real nice people on eBay, along with a couple of losers too. So, just check out the feedback score first before you do anything. The staff at eBay is good at answering questions and trying to resolve disputes too. If you ever have any problems with anyone, contact eBay right away.
Happy eBaying!

Yes. Buying stuff on Ebay is a good way to get stuff for pretty cheap. The trick is to look at the Sellers profile. I never bid on something from a seller that has a % rate lower that 98%. 100% being the best. Most buyers will post feedback if they have dealt with that particular seller in the past. It is VITAL that you take the time to find out about your sellers dealings. I have bought A Little Mikey toy, 2 Ipod 30GB Videos, various books, and computer ink on Ebay.
Never a problem!!!

Yes I have. I only pay thru paypal. I wont pay anyother way. I also look at the seller's feedback rating that other buyers have left. If the rating is not good then I do not buy. If the rating is very good and person has sold a high number then I feel a bit better on buying from them. I have over 5 years or so bought 50 items or so and have never been cheated on anything.
Good Luck.

Yeah, eBay is great! You just have to be careful who you buy from. I always check the comments about the seller and how many negative complaints they've had.
Plus, I only use eBay for smaller things. I usually won't buy anything over $20 on eBay. That way, if things do turn out badly, you'll get over it a lot sooner!

yea, ive bought a ton of stuff on ebay. look at the sellers feedback, and only buy from them if it is 99% or above. also read EVERY SINGLE WORD on the item description....because some people will sell some stupid crap and rip you off. So just read everything. and shop around. keep in mind the price you would pay in the store for that item. because some of the stuff would be cheaper at walmart. also buying in bulk is good on ebay. like for blank cds or dvds. i just got 200 blank dvds for $60 in stores they would go for like $90 or so. when comparing prices on ebay to prices in stores, keep in mind the shipping cost on ebay...some people will start a bid at 99cents then have the shipping like $30.
But yea ebay is Great! you can get some really great deals.
one more thing, make sure to check if the item is new or used. nib means new in box (it is a term frequently used on ebay)

Ebay is a good place to get hard to find items. I was able to complete my pyrex collection rapidly because of Ebay. You have to act responsible like you would with anything by looking at a persons feedback. I only had one bad experience and that was with a DVD I bought and it was in some foreign language and I'm unable to view it on my DVD player. Lesson learned but I'd still use it.

Yes i have and have never had a problem. If you have something specific in mind you can search for it. However, if you are into something like old books, jewelry etc, try flea markets, you will save money, sometimes the shipping on e-bay can make the item quite expensive as it is not controlled. You could order a book from someone 100 miles away and they can charge you 15 dollars for shipping , and the actual cost is only 2 dollars, so be carefull.

Yes, I have bought stuff. Use the PayPal method & take the insurance to minimize the risk. Every experience I have had, though, has been positive.
Just be wary of the shipping fees when bidding on something. Ask the seller questions about the product & the shipping fees if your unsure of something.
Hope that helps. Good luck.
