15-20% standard, but I always overtip. My part-time job is Bartending and I've worked in the restaurant business for many years.

The usual is 10% on the bill.
If we are much satisfied from food quality and service, 15%
If the owner of the restaurant is Gentleman, we tip as much as we want, we smile, we hug, we kiss, we pat on his shoulder, we say "hey buddy!" and arrange a new meeting. That's a tip!

No rules. When satisfied, I leave a good one, about 20%. There are times I do not only leave with no tip at all, I make complaints too!

According to the wait(er/ress) or the customer? :)
I think at least 15 % of the bill no matter the service; 20% or more for good to exceptional service.
